Position Summary

Xpress Wellness is seeking a provider for our Garden City, KS location. This role is responsible for providing primary, urgent, and episodic patient care in accordance with established standards, clinical guidelines, and company protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments for urgent, emergent, and non-urgent visits.

Order, perform, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging studies, and lab results to evaluate patient conditions and guide clinical decisions.

Analyze diagnostic reports, test results, and patient findings to determine appropriate diagnoses.

Prescribe or administer medications, treatments, therapies, vaccinations, and other medical interventions to treat or prevent illness and injury.

Perform clinical procedures, including laceration repairs, orthopedic-related care, and other urgent care services within scope of practice.

Explain medical procedures, diagnostic results, treatment options, and follow-up instructions to patients.

Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes accurately in the patient record, ensuring charts are completed and closed within 24–48 hours.

Support communications related to recruiting, training, trade events, and other operational needs as assigned.

Provide medical orders, clinical direction, patient care services, consultation, staff supervision, and chart review as appropriate. The Physician is available by direct telecommunication for consultation, assistance with medical emergencies, and patient referrals.

Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

Education

Medical Doctor — MD/DO — Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification

Must obtain and maintain an active professional license.

Nurse Practitioners must hold current board certification.

Must meet all applicable state and federal licensing requirements, including DEA registration.

Must maintain current Basic Life Support — BLS — certification.

Experience

One year of experience preferred but not required.

Skills

Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.

Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, bloodborne pathogen standards, and related compliance requirements.

Proficiency with standard computer applications, including internet use, email, and Microsoft Office.

Ability to supervise, train, support, and evaluate both new and existing provider staff.

Working Conditions:
